Marginal Territories
The industrial zone of Everett is anything but marginal. But why has it been treated as such? The focus of this project was to conduct an urban analysis of a heavy industrial territory that lays within arms reach of downtown Boston. The site negotiates a myriad of pollutants, many scales of traffic, and will inevitably be impacted by the effects of future sea level rise.
The focus of this proposal response is to develop replicable and scalable plans for phytotechnology and densification of the Everett Industrial zone, and generate a redesign of integral roadways for efficient circulation and coordinated paths for safe public access across the site. Completed in collaboration with Philip Bryant and Echo Zhou.
